The Beat goes Northside
GoodLoop is proud to announce another major milestone for StreetBeat, this time in Canberra’s northernmost district and fastest-growing town centre, Gungahlin.
Recently, GoodLoop Mutual in partnership with St John Ambulance ACT and supported by Community Bank Canberra and Regions part of Bendigo Bank, celebrated the installation of 19 publicly accessible AEDs across the Gungahlin region, bringing the total number of StreetBeat AEDs across Canberra to 72.
Much of this rollout has been made possible through the generous philanthropic support of Mat Franklin, helping StreetBeat move closer to its goal of placing an unlocked 24/7 AED in every Canberra suburb.
GoodLoop Mutual CEO Ivan Slavich thanked the ACT Government for their help with installations and acknowledged the support received from Gungahlin Marketplace, local businesses and community organisations in helping bring this project to life.
“Together, we’re making lifesaving equipment more accessible and building communities that are better prepared when every second counts,” said Ivan.
StreetBeat is a proud initiative of GoodLoop Mutual, delivered in partnership with St John Ambulance ACT, and supported by communities committed to making neighbourhoods safer.
