GoodLoop is proud to support Hands Across Canberra (HAC), the ACT’s community foundation dedicated to improving the lives of people across the Canberra region.

Hands Across Canberra works to raise and distribute funding to local charities and community organisations supporting people experiencing disadvantage, hardship and vulnerability.

Through community donations, partnerships and long-term investment, HAC helps create sustainable support for the organisations working on the frontline of community care.

What is Hands Across Canberra?

Hands Across Canberra is the ACT’s community foundation.

Community foundations exist to bring people together to support their local communities through giving, grants and long-term investment.

Funds raised through Hands Across Canberra are invested to grow over time and then distributed as grants to local charities, helping strengthen community services and support those who need it most.

While Hands Across Canberra was established just over a decade ago, community foundations have been operating successfully around the world for generations — helping communities build lasting resources to support future needs.

Our Partnership

GoodLoop proudly supports the work of Hands Across Canberra through our commitment to community investment.

Together with our Community Bank partners, we contribute to initiatives that strengthen local charities and community organisations across the ACT. As part of this partnership, GoodLoop also provides office space within our building to accommodate the Hands Across Canberra CEO and supporting staff, helping support their ongoing work in the community.

In 2025–26, GoodLoop is proud to support Hands Across Canberra as a HAC Hero, contributing to their mission of strengthening the local charity sector and supporting people experiencing disadvantage across our region.

By working together, we help ensure funding and resources continue to reach organisations making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable people in our community.
